Lights! Camera! Wait..wait CUT!!!!!

A 16 year old strolls through the busy bylanes of Shyambazaar after a weary day of school. Just as he joins into the main road, he looks at a poster of a film called "Hate Story" varnished with blue paint. A 67 year old passes by and claims,
Meat to the young. Poison to the scissorhands.

"How is it that the fledgelings of Bengal are ready to view something as erotic and unethical as some poor girl's bare back?"
The boy replies, albeit mentally, "Bitch please."
West Bengal is the only state that has a poster and film censorship board of its own. Last year, they banned a poster of film featuring a bootylicious acting powerhouse in a "silk" red stocking with 3 men because it gave away too much of a peak into her assets. Strange.  They cite that they intend to preserve the culture and morality of the people with their ever-ready long scissors. Oh really?
If they really think so then I hope an enriching experience awaits them. One fine day they should have a drop by at home early from work
to spend some time with their "lonely and bored" children. They would definitely get a thorough idea when they see the apple of their eye using their new found recreational toy to the fullest in front of their computer screens. West Bengal has really evolved over the years. 2 to 3 decades ago, when the protagonist laid a finger on their girl the people would jump out of the window. Now even when the starlets throw themselves over each other people can watch with a laidback attitude, in front of their children. Citizens have become mature all thanks to people in this line namely Lisa Ann, Sunny Leone, Phoenix Marie and many more. Prenuptial Sex and masturbation is no more a forbidden fruit. It is an aesthetic practice. But some people refuse to accept the change. While some exploit it to the limit to shove their boredom Along with this Winds of change in the peoples' cerebrum, it reverberates in the Indian cinematic scenario. Case in point, LSD, Hate Story, Murder and of course the man himself, Emraan Hashmi. In the West, it has been prevalent since the 70s when Elizabeth Taylor patted her bed seductively in a white maxi in Cat On A Hot Tin  Roof.
The Most BeautifulActress of All   Time, Liz Taylor
She had me going for a while, Sunny Leone

The most annoying situation would be if they, the scissorhands do their respective acts with hipocrisy or out of a fear of losing their bread. Akin to the event on Karnataka(or some other Southern state) ministers gaining satisfaction visually in their 3G cellphones. People lashed them for this but I support them. Atleast they were not hypocrites in public. Pornography is every one's right. If Italy can accept a Casanova like Silvio Berlusconi as their premier leader, why can't we? Culture eh? Cut the crap. ( Though I hate Berlusocni as with his old, ugly face he gains more girlfriends in an hour than I have in 17 years of my life. Plus, his daughter is hot.... ;))
A caricature of the man himself, Berlusocni
India is the best market for this genre of leisure. Brazzers  would not have boomed in India if parents had been free with their children about the Sciences and morals related to procreation. I am not talking about the biology, but the uses and the flaws.
Most Indian children are sexually deprived. They gain answers by making routinely pilgrimages to these sites. This is not abnormal for a country whose morals police slams fines and affidavits on people pecking in public. India is slighted only by Paskistan in the highest number of searches with the keyword "sex". No wonder, some loners jet out over "Reproductive" comics and mere pictures. Get A Life!
This newfound tool can be used  to malign innocnents and that is a crime that i am totally  against. Millions of lives were  destroyed due to MMS scandals. On a lighter note, this platform provides a "smooth and sleek" path to spotlight for some. Case in point-  Kim Kardarshian, Poonam Pandey, Carmen Electra as so on.
                        "The Times are a Changing"
                         - Bob Dylan
The Changed times call for advancement of the society morally, culturally and educationally. No one loses their culture or maligns it by watching bold movies. Believing so would only mean you yourself are a wimp. The Mahabharata, Ramayana and the epics are full of sexual depictions only hidden under the veil of Sanskrit hullabaloo. It would say, Draupadi was  performed aesthtic body and mind practices that was an evoked by their sense of duty and love with the Five Pandavas. While I would cut the long story short and say, she was merely gangbanged by the five.

Ebb and flow of the tide

Democracy. This single word ushers terms such as Freedoms, Elections, Parliaments and Councils of powerful men, or ministers. India is the World's largest democracy. Freedoms of speech, culture and religion, education, travel, settlements prevail. But the fuel that runs this engine is "We, The People".
The most recognised phrase I suppose
"We" are so powerful that by a single press on the ballot, a party can be crowned with glory or shamefully dethroned. This was evident in the 2011 Legislative Elections of  West Bengal when the "Sickle and Hammer" was blown away by the rustle of a tripod leaf and the cry of "Ma.Mati.Manush.". The public showed its true intentions to the rulers:-"Perform or perish". Our ammunition was the freedoms. It also included crying out loud at injustice or inefficiency of the Governments. After the arrest of the senior Chemistry professor of Jadavpur University, the net has gone viral with the netizens questioning," Am I gonna be arrested for chiding Her 'Excellency'?"
The Intellectual strata of society are the voices of the people. It includes economists, philosophers, cinematic personalities etc. In short, they are the creme de la creme of the society. Its voice. They spoke out when the former government were hell-bent on sacrificing farmlands for automobiles. They had catapulted "HER" to supreme power. Now they are in fear. Fear of "her" wrath, who interprets a cartoon as an attack on "her" modesty. On top of that, the cartoon spoke the truth. The former minister was insistent on increasing the fares for the welfare of the railways, incidentally "her" original department, that is in shambles. The number of railway accidents bear testimony to my claim. She would not allow it. For the vote bank.
Over the years, people have suffered for standing up against the injustice of the ruling class. They have suffered. Aung San Suu Kyi, Nelson Mandela, Carl Von Ossietzky, Liu Xiaboa, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to name a few. But this is the first time that I see in India. In the words of Bob Dylan, "The Times Are A Changing".
I have nothing personal against "Her Majesty". I respect her for taking a beating 19 years ago yet, making it to the top now. I respect her for her selflessness, her truthfulness and her visions for her people. But a democracy is not a one man army. It has its council. Her council is incidentally filled with people whose past is what I would not call pleasant. Her choice of friends is pretty awful. Her temper drives her insane, to the extent of manipulating her treacherous throat into chiding a helpless woman, who was robbed of her integrity.
These are my words. This may be echoed in lanes and slowly in every household. Then the masses shall strive forward for another change. This is how the Wind of Change blows. My deepest concerns are for her.
India has provided very few upright women in politics after Indira Gandhi. I would have included her here, but her actions somehow prevent me.
"Your Majesty", do not misunderstand me when I say this, do not be a puppet on a chain for any goddamn being.

A Disappointed Citizen(soon to be).

P.S.:- If you have not yet deciphered, Congratulations. You need not. Those who have, please note that  "I too am in fear".

The Players

Gordon Gekko (played by Michael Douglas)
Flashy magazine covers. Dapper suits. Sleek cars. Easy money. And of course, Red Hot Women. I guess that is what many ambitious teenagers dream about. A stereotypical way is to become a rockstar of the stature of Mick Jagger or a movie star like Brad Pitt. Keeping aside far fetched  visions, there are still ways to attain the aforesaid dreams. That too with a college degree and a piece of mind.Think Gekko from "Wall Street", the movie.
The quintessential instance of a player is Hugh Hefner, owner of the PlayBoy Franchise. This wrinkled, octagenarian continues to swoon women from 16 to 60 effortlessly. Don't be fooled into believing he has preserved his looks or such. Believe me, if that was the case, I, myself, would have outdone and outclassed him.
                                  Hugh Hefner, with his bunnies

All that took him was a resolve to make it big. To walk among those whose word of mouth determined the pink slip, no those who bore its brunt. After loaning on an awful amount of money from the banks and his mother, he set it up. There was no guarantees of any sort of success. Clever moves, and lots of them, was what it required.
This is a sort of vision that I behold of myself. All that drives me more to it is looking at the 20 year old princesses of every household roaming around, hand in hand with ugly, pot bellied men surely in their mid 40s.  They are the real players. Taking a look at closer home, we have Sabeer Bhatia. The Standord Alumni, holding a degree in Electrical engineering, did not draw the line at that. He co-founded  Hotmail, the Worlds Largest E-mail provider with over 369 million registered users. He lives life on his own terms. Neither as an "Yesman" of any Corporate giant nor as any well attired beast of burden. That is a player.
                                                     Sabeer Bhatia
After my graduation in an engineering college. I do not want to continue to serve forever. I wish to be served. I wish to be the source that people come to in times of distress. At a young age, the credit goes to them who know and can relate with lots of sources. But at a later stage, the credit goes to them who become the source with people moistening their soles. I wish to expand beyond my horizons. Setting up a publishing house would be a good idea, considering the steady growth of Mario Puzos , Stephen Kings and Isaac Asimovs in India. They need a hand behind them. Establishing hotel chains, clubs and restaurents would not be a bad idea though. Shares, bookies, sports franchise owners, it all gets better with every thought.  The dreams are indefinite. The path is invisible. After all, the end justifies the means. Greed is all that one needs.  Greed is what has set the ball rolling and transformed a Gujarati trader into a multimillionaire. He is Dhirrubai Ambani. Greed was what drove an Economics graduate to settle in Mumbai and make him the "King" he is today. That is Shah Rukh Khan. Meanwhile, Greed is what  sent A.Raja, Ramalingam Raju and Quatrochi behind bars. Greed too flushed Narasimha Rao out of power. It is a funny world. But I would say, "Greed is Good".

Anybody would feel elated dreaming of these. But it is the sweat by one's brow that determines his destiny. Nothing is written. It is we who write our destiny.  Anybody reading this would probably chuckle at a loser like me. You have every right to do so. To become a player, you need to have the mentality of a player. Sadly, you aren't bountiful in that aspect.

It is your life. Make it Large.
